On 15 and 16 February 2024, two school inspectors from I.S.J. Iasi, participated in Munich-Germany, together with representatives of the member institutions of the consortium – Cittadinanza Attiva Italy, European Grants International Academy (Foligno, Italy), Organizing Bureau of European School Student Unions (Brussels, Belgium), Frederick University (Cyprus), Technische Universität München (Germany) and Eastern Macedonia – Thrace Regional Directorate for Primary and Secondary Education (Greece) at the third transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ project “Boosting health LIteracy for School Students” (BLISS).
Specifically, the agenda of activities included:
– formulation of an internal operational plan of the consortium to ensure online mentoring and user interactivity within the BLISS platform
– analysis on the implementation of the MOOC (MASSIVE OPEN ONLINE COURSE) created on the platform with the support of digital mentors
– development of the European Health Netiquette: educational policy recommendations and guidelines for expansion
– project management and implementation activities
– support to participating schools and designation of the winning teacher-student team
– planning the Brussels multiplier event
The BLISS platform is based on a health literacy framework, taking into account the European “Digital Health@School” policies, and includes a series of open educational resources and five thematic MOOC modules: 1 – “The role of schools in promoting health education and digital health literacy: Concept Mapping”, 2 – “Teaching and Learning Skills for Health Information Management”, 3 – “Communication and Collaboration”, 4 – “Safety in Selecting Information from the Internet”, 5 – “Digital Resources” plus a set of 9 additional tools.
More than 60 teachers from partner schools in Iasi county will have access to the online training platform: Colegiul Economic Administrativ, Colegiul Național “Mihail Sadoveanu” Pașcani, Colegiul Național “Emil Racoviță”, Colegiul Național “Vasile Alecsandri”, Colegiul Tehnic “Gheorghe Asachi”, Liceul Tehnologic “Mihai Busuioc” Pașcani, Liceul Tehnologic “Petru Poni”, Special Technological High School “Vasile Pavelcu”, Theoretical High School “Miron Costin” Pașcani, Theoretical High School “Ion Neculce” Târgu Frumos, Waldorf Theoretical High School, Secondary School “Ionel Teodoreanu”, Vocational School “Stefan Cel Mare” Cotnari, Vocational School Cozmești.
The local activities will consist of going through the modules on the BLISS platform and carrying out awareness-raising campaigns on the importance of digital health literacy in each partner school.
